First off when I got this I expected the waist area to cinch in but it didn’t. So it ran a little baggy on me. Which I didn’t mind because it allowed me to layer as I wish underneath. But in terms of functionality, this thing nailed it! I needed a super lightweight easy to pack jacket since I was packing for a backpacking trip and flying with a carryon to get there. This Jacket kept me dry during tropical rain storms in Costa Rica. Great for warm places since there’s nothing in it to keep you warm. Perfect for Summer Rain Showers I had been looking for a very lightweight, thin rain jacket for the summer months. I wanted a jacket I could wear in hot weather running from the car to the store in a rain shower. Not sure how water resistant it will be but for my purposes, it should provide enough coverage for brief outings. It is also well made and the ability to pack it up small to fit in a suitcase w/o bulk for traveling to warmer climates is another perk. Probably the best rain jacket I have had! I absolutely love this rain jacket. It's packable and easily fits down and it's little stuff sack. It is so lightweight that I sometimes forget I have it on. The hood is large enough to cover your head but not so large that it impedes your vision, that is definitely an issue most times. Can you call a plastic rain jacket soft? This one is. It's easy to zip up and has nice pockets that I can just throw myself on and keys in when I'm running into the grocery store. I think it fits really well and you can even cinch it around the bottom if you wanted to. It's long enough that it covers your bottom so you're pretty well protected.
